Dourif portrays the chief counselor of Theoden, King of the Mark.Brad Dourif received a British Oscar (BAFTA) for Best Supporting Actor, a Golden Globe Award for Best Newcomer, and an Academy Award nomination for his performance in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. For Common Bonds, Dourif was nominated for a Genie Award (Best Actor) and for his performance in Body Parts, he garnered the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Supporting Actor.
